DESCRIPTION: \nThe great winter darkness is almost over and spring is almost here\, you know what that means right? Here’s information about Black Rock Ranger Training in Toronto for 2016Anyone can participate in Ranger training\, whether you plan to be a Ranger or not\, and regardless whether you’ve gone to Burning Man or not. If you want to start qualifying to Ranger\, you must have been to Burning Man at least twice\, and at least once in the past ten years.Rangers train every year\, so even if you trained in a previous year\, you have to go to one of these if you intend to Ranger in 2016.  Advanced registration is required!REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:\n\nOption 1: Audit Black Rock Ranger Training\nIf you wish to attend the training\, but do not intend to become a Black Rock Ranger in 2016 (i.e.\, you do not intend to Ranger at Burning Man this year)\, please visit\, read\, and follow the instructions at: http://jousting-at-windmills.org/clubhouse\n\n  \nOption 2: Become a Black Rock Ranger\nIf you intend to BECOME a Black Rock Ranger in 2016 and have never done it before: \n1) Please complete your Burner Profile\, (if you have not already)\, and fill out the Burning Man volunteer questionnaire here: https://profiles.burningman.com/participate/ \n2) Wait until you’ve received a verification email from the Rangers. It will give you information about your new login to the Clubhouse\n3) Log into the Ranger Clubhouse\, find the training session you want to attend\, and add your name to the list. \nOption 3: ALREADY a BRC Ranger \nIf you are already a BRC Ranger just go to your account in the Clubhouse and sign up for one of the sessions after logging in here: http://rangeroffice.burningman.com/ \nABOUT THE TRAINING \nBlack Rock Ranger Training is recognized by Burning Man communities everywhere. Learning the common language of Rangers and receiving the same training as people outside your area\, will open the way for you to volunteer at events in neighboring regions. \nTraining includes active listening\, non-confrontational and non-judgmental communication\, conflict resolution\, mediation\, basic emergency response\, radio protocol\, and provides lots of practice through role-play scenarios. This is an excellent opportunity for good conversations\, great connections\, and community growth. \nEveryone is welcome! (the facebook event is private and restricted to registered attendees.
