BURNAL 3QUINOX – halfway there!

March 7, 2015 @ 8:00 pm - March 8, 2015 @ 3:00 pm

burnal equinox

We’re preparing to leave the season of decompression. By March 7th, art grants will be submitted and maybe even approved. The season of spreadsheets and Gantt charts will be ending, and we will be welding and programming and soldering and sewing.

Did you enjoy 3COMP? Then come join us at Site 3 coLaboratory for an event to celebrate the halfway point of the year, the start of build season. Meet local artists, learn about projects and opportunities for collaboration, and share your stories from our regional events and that thing out in the desert.

We’ll have a few things for everyone to enjoy…

GIFT BAR – People loved this last time, so we’re doing it again. The LCBO around the corner closes at 9, bring drinks for yourself and to share with others after it closes.

POTLUCK – Bring food, eat food, simple enough? Remember that Site 3 does not have running water and is an active shop space.

FIRE ART – Last time we had a 2D Ruben’s Tube, MIDI controlled flame effects, a fire organ, performances, and more. What will we have this time? Performers welcome, bring your fire tools and safety gear to spin in the alleyway.

MUSIC – we’ll have what you bring, with a possible guest appearance by DJ 100lbs. of Bananas! And a sound system that’s way too big for our space. DJs and performers are welcome to plug in and go.

There’s still room for more – let us know what you want to bring? We will have more space for art installations at this event, stay tuned for more details!

This event is 19+, asking $10 donation for our costs. Bring a cup, you may be rewarded for it. Leave no trace, we have classes in the shop on Sunday!
